For those of you sadly out of the loop, it's fidel castro's 78th birthday today. (and Brendan's 32nd). And let me just tell you, when the online card places promise "electronic greeting cards for all occasions," they're all lying. LYING! I can't find a single "Happy Fidel Castro Day" card anywhere. At this point, I'd settle for a "wish you were here" cuba tourist e-card, but no luck there either.

On the plus side, a lovely headline from the news today: "Cuban President Says Country Will Face Hurricane Charley as it Faces Bush"

My dad, of course, makes his own cards: http://www.facstaff.bucknell.edu/marsh/geschrei.jpg He tells me the party's being held over until the 21st, when the river should be cresting. I suppose it makes clean up that much easier.
