I love Christian Slater, even in really bad movies. I mean, Kuffs was bad, but Bed of Roses is *bad*. If he brought me Sterling Roses, I'd marry him in a heartbeat. I love Sterling Roses. Either this TV or this channel is on crack though, and the color's all messed up--the Sterlings look pale pale pink. Uck. I love sterlings, usually. But more than that, I love stainless steel roses. I'm okay with them not even smelling like roses, though I can't remember if I've ever actually seen them. Ultraviolet, my favorite florist in the whole world, I think they had them once.

Ultraviolet, by the way, isn't done justice in the website, though the photo galleries have some gorgeous things in it. The whole store is stocked by color, usually, so you'll walk in there one day, and it's all lavender. And then next week, everything would be orange and brown, and another day it would be a totally different color. Oh, I loved this place. It was along the canal, about two and a half blocks from the office when we were still in Georgetown. I try very hard not to want cut flowers, cause they're dreadful wastes of money, and they just die. But this store, it always made me wish I had the sort of family that sent flowers, just once. Chris would get flowers from her family for random special events--graduation, some birthdays, stuff like that. And I tried very hard not to be jealous of them, but damn, when I went to UltraViolet, I wanted someone, anyone, to be sending me flowers. :)

Damn you, NPR.

I have already found three singers that I want to hear more of. Possibly *much* more of. Why am I not rich? And why do I like The Strokes even when I try not to? and there's also the Best CDs of the year, at http://www.npr.org/programs/asc/archives/bestof2003/index.html, which is also chock full of Real Audio Goodness. and once I'm done listening here, there's always Morning becomes Eclectic, since most of the ones I like on the list also play on the show (and don't forget to check out Goldenboy playing "Lilac Afternoon," first song after their break, about 19 minutes or so.) My music budget needs to be higher. Or I need to have fewer morals and not mind stealing songs.

Bro: hurry, buy it!
Me: fine. I'll tell mom I got it for you when she gets up.
Bro: WAKE HER UP!
Me: no, I'll buy it for you now and tell her in the morning.
Me: okay?
Me: and hey, it's a present, I'll even spring for the shipping.
Bro: wow
Bro: how about gift wrap?
me: work address?
Bro: didn't i pay for gift wrap?
Bro: on the monty python set?
Me: you're crazy though, and you already know what this is.
Bro: what what is?
Me: give me your work address.
Bro: why?
Bro: i'm going to really try and see if IO can forget what it is
Bro: starting now....
Bro: what just happened?
Me: you blacked out.
Bro: hm
Bro: interesting

I'm still fairly convinced that he should marry Andrea. Except for the fact that she'd probably kill him within a few years, but really, that hold true for anyone (I meant anyone Andrea marries, but it's probably equally valid for anyone who might marry him.)

Okay, so I'm listening to the Best Songs via the streamed link and it's...really good. Much better than I can afford it to be.
