I was called about an interview!

Only no one ever calls us, so I hadn't checked the machine, and so I didn't know about it until just now. It's the museum, and she called today while we were off shopping and she told me exactly when she'd be available today for me to call back, but that after that she wouldn't be back until Monday. PLus, she's got my sort of phone manner, which is to say, slightly lost at all times. She nearly got confused on the first part and said assistant director but caught herself just in time and said 'to the director.' So I was amused by that. ANd I'll call back on Monday, and set up an interview, and I'll get my grandfather to drive me there so I don't sweat to death in interview clothing, and then I'll have to do is wait and decide what to wear for the interview. Probably the tan pantsuit. It's my favorite, after all. I wonder if it's clean.

Oh, and I took apart my computer, thinking maybe it was something to do with overheating is why my computer's grumpy, and it's really dusty here, so I wanted to make sure the fans weren't clogged or anything. And they seemed okay, so instead I swapped my hard drive into an empty slot above where it was. Cause it was pretty hot to the touch, and my laptop has problems when it gets that hot (and my lap also has problems when my laptop gets that hot), and I had the two hard drives right on top of each other, and an empty slot right above them, so it made sense to try, even if it doesn't work in the end. On the one hand, I've had problems with this computer since I got it, but on the other hand, it's my chimera, so I've always had the two disk drives together since the first week or so, and thus they may be the reason. We'll see.

Also, in the really annoying category, one of my friends got an autoresponse thing to his workshop sub, back when he subbed. I...didn't. On the one hand, I subbed about 2 weeks before the deadline, so they may simply have not set it up yet. But just in case, I queried Mary Anne. Cause it would really really suck. Not as much as poison ivy all over one arm in time for an interview. but enough.
