GOod news! The bridesmaid's dress that I must wear (Here ) seems to be just short enough that I don't need to get it hemmed by next friday. Or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. The inner layer comes to about the heel of the shoe, and the overlayer pools out about a inch or so around my shoes. My mother said it was okay. So all I need to do yet is buy undergarments (a slip, apparently), and a whole freaking dress for the saturday activities, cause my backup plan of a skirt and shirt has been dashed by the realization that the reason the bride specified a black below-the-knee skirt if I have an extra is that the synagoge that the wedding is going to be at is fancy/strict enough that you can't wear sleeveless, and probably also can't wear above the knee. And all my cute skirts are above the knee. Not a lot, necessarily. But enough. So my choices are winter skirts that are a)patterned, b)dark patterns, and c)don't go with any of my tops. I have a couple of dresses that are long, but they're crushed velvet, which is not what I'm going to wear in August, no way, no how. And the shorter dresses are possibly above the knee, and definately winter colors (black, black heather, and navy heather.) Stupid shopping.

• underwear out of living room,
• clothing off of bed,
• bed made, and
• envigorating game of 'good god that's been there since I went to MI' played with fridge.

But first, a bath. and a finding of some kitty toys. Someone's very sad without his toys.
